For a world-wide conference, advertising can bring significant costs caused simply by shipment of advertising materials. A couple of thousand pages on a thick, glossy paper shipped overseas via express mail costs 500+ EUR. To reduce this cost, I've come up with an idea of a usable, lightweight advert - a paper bookmark. Being something useful, not just a piece of advertisement, it stays longer with people. It weights just a fraction of a cost of full-page-type flyer. Everybody liked this approach, which I suggested and executed first in 2007, therefore it was repeated with the 2008 event.
